In your quest to pursue your holy vocation, you were not deterred by the many obstacles that came your way. Your strong faith carried you through all of life’s trials to your place in God’s kingdom.
St. John Vianney, whose family nurtured your desire to follow the path of Jesus Christ, you inspire me to devote my life to Christian faith. Along your journey towards holiness, your faith was tested many times yet it never wavered. It was the same faith you held on to firmly which secured you a special place in heaven.

Saint John Vianney, you dedicated your life towards saving souls for the greater glory of God. You were even blessed with an almost supernatural ability to obtain funds to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Christ. You freely gave of yourself in imitation of the life of our Lord Jesus Christ.
St. John Vianney, you committed your life to a ministry that brought lost souls back to God. God’s unfailing grace obtained for you the resources and wisdom that enabled you to lift up the poor and the helpless. You were the embodiment of a true Christ-like living.
Teach me also to see God in each person regardless of their station in life, and despite any wrongs they may have done to me. Help me to see service to my fellow men as a responsibility that I need to fulfill, to gain a chance to live with you, with our Lord, and all the saints for all eternity.
May I learn to find God in every person I meet and express nothing but appreciation, gratefulness, love and forgiveness. May I reflect God to others through intentional service to my fellow men, knowing that I am partaking in His ministry to save souls, so that one day we could all join Him in heaven.

Saint John Vianney, your successful journey to the priesthood is a testament to your determination to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Your life as a priest is a shining example of what we should expect from the chosen leaders of God’s flock. Your perseverance in the face of many hardships has saved numerous souls.
St. John Vianney, you have deeply inspired many with your dedication to serve the Lord through your priestly vocation. How you lived your purpose defined the meaning of sacrifice and duty to save souls, and provided all priests and church leaders a worthy model to emulate.
By contemplating on your life, may I be imbued with the same determination to be the best that I can be in the many roles I play in life. Let everything I think, say or do benefit my neighbor and lead me ever closer to our Heavenly Father.

Saint John Vianney, when you saw social ills and sin in your parish, you sparked moral and spiritual renewal through your homilies and work in the confessional. Your unrelenting efforts to win back souls to God’s grace has caused many to repent. By your soft words you were able to convert many sinners like me.
St. John Vianney, your compassionate and courageous efforts helped reform social mistreatments and transformed sinners. You used your platform and the confessional to ease the burden of those who were weighed down by guilt, fear and hopelessness. Your healing words delivered lost souls back to God’s forgiving arms.
Pray for me that God may bless me with the same outrage for sin and for me to have the compassion for sinners as you did. Let me choose my words carefully, lest I cause injury to my brothers. Inspire me to regularly seek reconciliation with our Heavenly Father through the worthy reception of the sacraments,
May God guide me to nurture the same spirit of uprightness and kindness, that I may detest sins but never judge the sinner, including myself. May I commit to a life of constant communication with our Heavenly Father through prayer, repentance and reconciliation as asked in the holy sacraments.

Saint John Vianney, God’s grace saw you through all the trying moments of your life. Inspired by the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, you sacrificed your entire life in order to serve him fully. Your complete trust and surrender to His will allowed you to enter priesthood in spite of the many trials you had to endure.
St. John Vianney, amidst all the trials and hardships you faced, God fulfilled His promise to always be by your side. You fully submitted to serving Him knowing well that through His faithfulness, you will completely deliver your priestly vows despite struggles and setbacks.
Obtain for me the same complete trust in the will of God, that will allow me to see hardships and trials as sacrifices I need to joyfully accept in His name. Let my anxieties and uncertainties be replaced by great faith in our Heavenly Father who is the source of all that is good.
Pray for me that my trust in God may be whole enough to withstand all the difficulties I may go through as I choose the path of God-centeredness. May He erase all my doubts and fears and strengthen my faith on His constant care and provisions.

St. John Vianney, spending time with the Lord through prayers and meditation on His words, is a time you value most. Given such admirable display of commitment to your duties, you easily would have been a monk had the bishop only willed it.
Teach me the power of prayer, that I may slowly understand God’’s will for me. Obtain for me the conviction that through fervent prayer, nothing is impossible.
Show me how to pray with sheer intention and resoluteness that I may know God more and totally surrender to His will. Complete in me the belief that through constant prayer, nothing is impossible with God.

St. John Vianney, you expressed such devotion to the Blessed Sacrament through long hours in the confessional in order to heal those who have sinned. Through you, God absolved many who came to you sincerely for repentance.
Obtain for me the fervent desire to always remain worthy to receive the holy sacraments that I may also one day be rewarded with God’s favor, and spend life in His kingdom with all the saints for all eternity.
Pray for me that I may always aspire to be worthy of God’s favor by way of receiving the holy sacraments. May this lead me to one day share His kingdom with His angels and saints, forever and ever.

Pray that the Holy Spirit enlighten me and remain with me always so that I too may learn to forego material possessions to earn God’s grace. May I always value my spiritual health over all the wealth in the world.
May the Holy Spirit possess my whole being so that I may wholeheartedly choose a life of simplicity and humility . May I take more pleasure on furthering my spiritual growth by focusing more on helping others rather than pursue material wealth.
